Losing Human Touch Over Texting

In the OveHum we’ve seen how the use of audio-visuals improves learning in class. We’ve evaluated short films related to Human Rights and the results were promising. We’ve also used music videos (we’ll talk about them in further posts) from Michael Jackson, Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and others. Depending on the topic and the lyrics, we can find strong messages to work attitudes and cultures through Human Values, understanding the vulnerability of Humanity.

It is not hard to start a debate, or organize a few activities with the English Department, but also the Music or Art Departments can get involved. Not only explaining about rhymes and rhythms, but letting the students express themselves and encouraging them to write and compose. Content is available only for registered users.
