Great Global Synchronization – March 21, 2026

The first globally synchronized meditation took place in 1987: the “Harmonic Convergence.” It was driven by José Argüelles, it was based on interpretations of Mayan prophecies and brought together thousands of people. However, it was also criticized for its “New Age” framing, which led many to view it as more of an artificial event than a genuine transformation.

Along similar lines, in 1992 the Global Meditation for Peace was organized in connection with the Earth Summit in Rio. With the rise of the internet, these initiatives became more consolidated between 2000 and 2010, with events such as World Peace Meditation Day and the Global Coherence Initiative.

The next surge in global meditations emerged as a reaction to the traumatic situation caused by the pandemic experiment in 2020. From OveHum, we launched a Meditation for Repair through Love and Universal Healing, joining multiple organizations from various countries to help heal the planet and our humanity from the global trauma we experienced.

In March 21, 2026, this Great Synchronization – 6:00 pm (18:00) UTC (In Spain at 7:00 pm – 19:00 but you can review local time here) – revives the idea of calling people together worldwide, simply by dedicating a few minutes to a shared intention based on four words:

PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT

So what is the purpose of this call?

If we reflect on recent years—specifically since the global traumatic experience of 2020, the pandemic—we can draw several conclusions.

The world split into three types of people: those who imposed rules, those who complied with them, and those who chose not to comply. The first group—interestingly the smallest, an infinitesimal fraction of 0.0001% of the world’s population—benefited economically from the systematic violation of human rights, including even the previously respected International Convention on the Rights of the Child. At the same time, they (intentionally) fostered conflict between the other two groups (both victims of their management).

Both those who chose to follow the imposed dynamics and those who did not were left traumatized—some even “numbed”—in one way or another, both individually and collectively.

The outcome also benefits the aforementioned minority group, as they continue pursuing their dehumanized agendas. Sharp increases have been observed in drug use and anti-anxiety medication among adults; increases in self-harm episodes and suicide attempts among adolescents; rises in sexually transmitted diseases among both teens and adults; increases in cases of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); and widespread increases in episodes of anxiety and aggression across the population, alternating with episodes of severe depression and emotional instability.

Given this global context, the question arises: what can we do collectively?

The Ancestral Origin of Collective Energy

From a cultural anthropology perspective, collective synchronization can be understood as a form of “social technology” deeply rooted in human evolution. In small-scale societies, such as Hawaii and its Ho‘oponopono rituals, these dynamics fostered cooperation and survival by aligning emotions and behaviors in uncertain contexts. Synchrony acts as a nonverbal language that reduces conflict and facilitates mutual trust, as the shared experience is often described as a temporary dissolution of the self in favor of a collective identity.

Thus, synchronization manifests under specific interaction conditions, the primary one being shared attention. Its essential function is to generate a sense of belonging and reduce individual fragmentation.

Why March 21?

This date coincides with the equinox period, a unique point in the annual cycle when the duration of light and darkness tends to equalize across much of the planet. This natural convergence can be interpreted as a powerful metaphor for harmony and balance, especially relevant in times marked by strong social tensions and contrasts.

Current digital systems tend to amplify conflict and polarization, dominating much of the public sphere. Choosing to consciously share a moment of pause and presence takes on a deeper significance. It is not merely about stopping, but about doing so collectively—offering a counterpoint to the prevailing inertia of constant reaction and fragmentation.

In a reality that constantly fragments our attention, maintaining focus together becomes a practice of reconnection capable of reaching collective healing frequencies.

The Action

Specifically, this Great Synchronization proposed for March 21 – 6:00 pm (18:00) UTC – is simple to carry out but powerful in intention. It calls on ordinary people, regardless of any social, cultural, religious, or ideological factor or variable. It is simply about “sharing” a moment of humanity—dedicating 5 minutes, regardless of place, posture, or context—just 5 minutes of full attention focused on four words:

PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT
